Outrun has been about as an arcade racer since the 1980's an its seen may versions on may different consoles and computers, even squeezed on to a ZX spectrum! . The SP version saw an arcade cabinet and then spawned the final version (as for as I know) onto the Xbox360, a sublime version which today remains one of my most played arcade racers of all time.

However there is a travesty at foot here, the Xbox360's version was only available as a digital download through the XBOX's arcade library, and this would have be fine it it hadn't disappeared into the sunset never to be seen again, Why? I don't know but its a crying shame that it can be savoured by new players today :( . Do you know what happened? maybe licensing issues.. Let me know in the comments.

Luckily there are versions out there on other platforms, like PlayStation 2, PSP, & Xbox Original so its not a total bust.
