Sekiro Shadows Die Twice will allow players to be a loyal yet ferocious ninja named Wolf and traverse the land of Ashina. A land full of perilous beings and challenges. Equipped with a Prosthetic Tool which is deadly in combat and yet useful in level progression.
Fast-Paced Demanding Combat - In the game, players have a Vitality bar representing their health. When it runs out, the player dies. They can use a Resurrection charge to come back to life or experience True Death and restart from the last resting point. Mastering combat is essential, requiring precise attacks, perfect parry timings, and avoiding perilous attacks.
Resurrection Feature - In Sekiro, when players die, they are given the option to resurrect at the exact spot where they were defeated. This ability is initially available for free each time Sekiro rests at a Sculptor's Idol. However, additional charges can be obtained by progressing in the game or by using specific rare Quick Items. This is a powerful ability that Wolf can perform. It will give another chance to the user to take on their adversaries and ultimately overcome them.
Posture Meter Feature - The Posture Meter is crucial in combat. It appears above regular enemies' heads below Sekiro's health and at the top center of the screen for Mid-Bosses and Bosses. Dealing damage to opponents also damages their Posture Meter, and perfect parries are the best practice to master. If you perfectly parry every enemy attack, the Posture Meter will not break even if depleted.
Engaging Perilous Attacks - During combat in Sekiro, enemies can perform special abilities known as Perilous Attacks. When an enemy is about to perform one of these attacks, a red Kanji symbol appears over Sekiro's head to warn the player. To defend against these attacks, Sekiro must use specific defensive techniques. There are four types of Perilous Attacks: Sweep which can avoided by jumping and stomping on an enemy's head, Thrust can be countered by Mikiri Counter, Grab can be dodged by evading, and Lightning can be countered by Lightning Reversal.
Engaging Prosthetic Tools - In Sekiro, the player's Prosthetic Arm can be fitted with various Shinobi Tools found in the game world, aiding in combat. Multiple tools can be equipped at once, allowing the player to switch between them during gameplay. As the player progresses, more powerful tools can be unlocked through upgrades. Each tool has unique strengths and weaknesses, providing a variety of strategic options to match different playstyles.
Enhance Skills in Sekiro - In Sekiro, Skills and Skill Trees are special moves and passive abilities that become available to the player as they progress. These abilities can be upgraded for improved effectiveness and frequency of use. Players can acquire upgrades by defeating bosses or purchasing them with Skill Points earned from gaining experience points.
Harness Combat Arts in Sekiro - Combat Arts in Sekiro are powerful special moves that players can equip from their inventory. To activate them, the player needs to press the Attack and Guard buttons simultaneously. There are numerous Combat Arts available for players to use in the game.
