Back in 2002, after having recently watched Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and Clone Wars, I wanted to teach myself 3D animation. To do so, I wanted to create the introduction to what I envisioned the opening sequence could look like for the Star Wars novel, Truce at Bakura by Kathy Tyers. This took me 6 months to put together using 3D Studio Max. The next scene had Luke walking through the deck of the Mon Calamari Cruiser but I struggled to learn Blender at the time so I gave up.
