Shenmue 3: (Chapter 1) Bailu Village (Part 1/2)
Are you ready? ... ... I see...
Broadcast day: 11/20/2019
My apologies this video is so late. youtube has a video export/upload runtime of 12 hours max. The first day I tried desperately to get the video exported at 12 hours for the first half then 4 hours for the second (This video is a total of 16 hours in length) but it wouldn't process because youtube cut it 50 seconds too long. So I downloaded the video to one of my laptops, the one I don't use for streaming because I wanted to stream this week. I couldn't edit the video in Sony vegas11 because they do not accept MP4 file videos (the only option twitch allows to download videos from there archives) so I had to use the basic Windows Movie Maker, originally I intended on making it 12hours at 1080p, but when a whole day of rendering went by and it was barley 5% done I realized it wasn't worth it. wasting the first day was my fault because I was optimistic that my Laptop could handle the render. but the second day was inexcusable. My laptop was just not powerful enough to handle even the lowest resolution at 520p. so on the third day (Monday) I swapped to my more powerful laptop (the one I use to stream). Since then I have been waiting. It took 3 whole days and 2 hours (I started at 12am) to render these 12hours. It is processing the video on youtube now as I type this (7:30am).
So in total it will have taken 3 and a half days to finish this video. I will make plans in the future for any other archived videos that are over 12hours. Unfortunately this means there was a whole day of no uploads and since I couldn't use my laptop there is no live streams this week. This whole thing has left me so upset over youtube. They should clearly state the max amount of hours/GB allowed to be uploaded on there upload screen, but they do not. I have seen videos that are well over 12 hours long, granted they are mostly music based relaxation videos, but it definitely made me feel like I could upload my 16 hour video with no problems. Which was very misleading and wasted a lot of time and effort. I hope to any of my subscribers that this has not put you off of any of my future content as I try my best to stay on a schedule and provide you with something to watch each season. Thank you so much for your patience and for trusting my judgment. Have a wonderful day.
