Shnootz Holiday Riff - A Christmas Carol (1999)
Merry Christmas Eve, folks! I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays as much as possible, and I'm very happy to post, in full, my riff of the 1999 A Christmas Carol starring Patrick Stewart (and Dominic West, Edward Petherbridge, Ian McNiece, Richard Grant, Saskia Reeves, Joel Grey, and the lovely Laura Fraser). Indeed, this was one of the first riffs I ever recorded, back in the 2010s when I just did them for a handful of close friends who all shared a fondness for riffing (and MST3K, Rifftrax, etc.). As such, this one is a bit more R-rated than most riffs I do today, though not really in terms of the jokes themselves, just in regard to the profanity. Indeed, there are a couple F-bombs and one C-word, with the latter coming very early on, so apologies for that, but otherwise it's the typical fare for one of my riffs.
And shout-out in particular to Dominic West, who plays my favorite Fred by a country mile. He's so good in this.
That said, this riff (and indeed, all my riffs up until episode 5 of The Master) was done totally live/off-the-cuff, and looking back, I think it came together rather well. In any case, Merry Christmas Eve to all, and I'll see you tomorrow with a couple more videos. Cheers!
