Shock Trooper 1985 - TRS-80 Color Computer game
Shock Trooper is an original arcade game based somewhat on Tutankam. The premise of the game itself is based on the popular 1980's science fiction TV show, V. Rob Shaw, the author, made an earlier game, Tut's Tomb, that is closer to the original arcade game. This game adds the elements of having force fields blocking certain parts of the maze off, and you have to destroy the power generators that control these force fields to get rid of them. There are also "dead zones", where your gun will not operate at all. You also have to worry about the amount of time that you use your gun... if you hold down the fire button, your flame-thrower will extend out further, but your body will absorb more radiation, which is eventually fatal. At the end of each level (there are several screens per level), you get your radiation cleaned out, as well as another top secret part. You also have to rescue your fellow humans as you progress.
There is a hidden cheat code in the game, but at the author's request it has been removed. No cheating!
