Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad for Arcade from SNK Saurus - Toy
Shock Troopers: 2nd Squad (ショックトルーパーズ セカンドスカッド) is a 1999 run and gun arcade game developed by Saurus and published by SNK. The game is a follow up to the 1997 original Shock Troopers though it is unclear if the game is a direct sequel.
Shock Troopers 2ND Squad is a sequel to Shock Troopers from 1997, made also by Saurus and released for Arcades and rereleased in 2012 for Wii Virtual Consoles.
Shock Troopers 2nd Squad is a game that was underestimated, unfortunately. This game is known for some spelling mistakes aka "Engrish" like "Exective" or "DENGER". Angel is a big breasted character, second in terms of firepower and defense after Leon, but her bomb attack doesn't nullify all bullets on screen. She is also quite faster, but still for me, lack of Leon's grenade launcher is seen during the boss fights, when she needs a little bit more time to finish them.
DIO, a terrorist organization led by a man called Nakatomi, has threatened the world's leaders to submit to their will. After DIO completely eradicates a city, a squad of Shock Troopers are sent to deal with the threat.
