Developed by Sad Socket and published by Hooded Horse, 9 Kings claims to be a fast-paced roguelike kingdom builder though I'd argue that its closer to a tower defense at its heart. Regardless of semantics have managed to create a game that captures that one more turn feel even in early access.

While the game balance is still to be desired it's getting better ever patch and it really could become one of the sleeper indie hits of 2025.
