Single Player Games are NOT dying ! | A Low Budget Perspective
Recently EA decided to shut down Visceral Games who were working on a single player Star Wars based game. After this announcement every body in the gaming media seems to be making some sort of video or writing articles talking about how single player games are dying etc.
I don't think this is the case and the demise of the single player game is greatly exaggerated. It is once again the gaming journalists being lazy and jumping on a bandwagon.
We have had several successful Single player games just this year alone and more coming out. Nier Automata was a success, Prey was a great game, Hellblade : Senua's Sacrifice was critically acclaimed and the latest Wolfenstein has just released. We have also had RPGs from smaller devs like ELEX and also some quality Indie title like Cuphead, Hollow Knight and even Sonic Mania. So I don't think the single player game is going anywhere even if the big publisher would like it to.
I make FREE game alert videos whenever I spot a FREE game. The giveaways only last of 24 or 48 hours, so consider subscribing to know as soon as they become available.
