I had request for sl1 Magic only/focused and this is the best I can do on Friede (well, almost the best, I could do this "no damage" of course) without making fight more tedious than I would like to.
I tried pure magic and Heavy Soul Arrow deals very decent 185 damage with the most optimal rings setup, Logan's Staff+10 and buff. It means that technically beating Friede on sl1 using magic only is most likely doable. But casting this spell takes so long and in most situations it's very risky. Considering how long single (potentially successful) attempt would last, I'm not willing to try this challenge, at least now.
But I think idea in this video is good substitute for magic only.
