The Forgotten Vale is honestly a pretty significant percentage of the Dawnguard DLC main questline, as evidenced by the fact that here we are at part 7 and we still have at least one or two more videos to go after this.

The ability to travel from one wayshrine to another certainly helps make the Forgotten Vale more manageable, but it doesn't help us much today. Even travelling to the wayshrine of Resolution we still have to schlep over the mountain shortcut, then all the way through Glacial Rift yet again before we get to the starting point of our exploration. Thankfully the last wayshrine awaits us at the end of our explorations today, which will serve as our starting point for next time.

But first to get there we have to cut our way through the Falmer canyon. It's a completely linear journey to do so, but it doesn't really feel like it as we cross Falmer bridges zig-zagging across the canyon. This area is also an exercise in carefully locating all the various loot scattered throughout the Falmer tents along the way. At last we emerge from a tunnel to the final wayshrine, but we're not done yet. Now we have to travel all the way back to the very beginning, because if you go back up to the frost giant's lair, you can mountain-goat along the sides of the canyon and collect some cleverly hidden loot up above the normal path below.

Yet again we need to finish with a trip back to Whiterun to drop off loot. Thankfully though the end is in sight - we can see the Inner Sanctum from the last wayshrine, so we know the end is near. It's been a while and I forget how much is involved at the end, so I'm not sure if we have one or two videos left, but we'll see.
