This video guide shows how to quickly level up your pickpocketing skills using a fairly easy to do exploit. Try to bring along some decent armor and weapons and at least a thousand in gold septims. This video was made to help with future video tutorials that will require certain skill tree perks to pull off. ***UPDATE*** To do this exploit properly do it after completion of sibbi's sidequest and misc. objective. Head to riften jail, persuade the guard, talk to sibbi to learn about his ex fiance svidi starting the misc. objective called The Lover's Requital. Head to ivarstead and find the bard of vilemyr inn. It says lynly star-sung but it's really svidi. Talk to her and then talk to sibbi again. This gives sibbi's chest key as reward. Now head to the bee and barb to find a patron named louis letrush. This starts the sidequest Promises to Keep. Head to the jail again and talk to sibbi about frost and his papers. Persuade him to pay in full and he'll give sibbi's stash key to use at the black-briar lodge. Go there and steal frost's identity papers. Meet letrush in the wilderness. It's best to just kill him to get the gold and frost without fuss plus you get to keep the lineage papers. At this point you're ready to start the exploit. Just make a save beforehand. Once in jail on ps4 i know sibbi is found in the lefthand jail cell and not the one on the right. Steal the key off the guard walking by. It's usually easy. Sneak to the belongings room and dispatch the two guards with your trusty weapon. This cell is easily opened with the key. If not in that cell just glitch through the bars in and out with a couple platters. It's best to do this while sibbi is sleeping and start reverse pickpocketing gold into his inventory. At first it takes numerous attempts. Start out low at 50 gold max. Too much higher and it won't work. Steal the gold back and the skill will go up every time. Increase the pickpocketing perks and amount of gold as you go. NOTE: Do not get arrested with a number of quest items. It's quite possible you'll never get them back making for a good number of unfinishable quests! So take care of those first. ONE LAST THING: If quest items don't appear in your inventory after taking items from the jail chests. Don't panic. They should appear upon leaving the jail and the screen reloading. I know i was frustrated but then realized the items had reappeared after leaving!
