SlimeVR is a set of sensors and software for Full Body Tracking in virtual reality. It's low-cost, completely wireless, and comfortable solution, with good precision, reliability and responsiveness. Check about channel in the discord for more info, pictures, videos and highlights!

Q: Does it need camera or other external sensors or base station?
A: No!

Q: How does it work? Give me easier explanation!
A: There are trackers under the straps I wear (see gallery in discord for pics). 5 trackers on the waist, thighs, and ankles track their rotation in space, then SlimeVR uses your proportions and headset position to calculate your joints, and trackers position using this info.
Q: How does it work? Give me technical explanation please!
A: SlimeVR uses absolute orientation sensors and a skeleton model with user-entered proportions and forward kinematics to put virtual Vive trackers on key points.
Q: What headsets does it work with?
A: It works with all headsets that connect to PC and provide positional tracking, so basically all of them except headsets like GearVR (will be possible to support later)
Q: How does it connect to PC? / What will I need to connect it to PC?
A: It connects over WiFi. You can use wifi card / wifi dongle / integrated wifi in your PC motherboard, or connect it to your wifi router.
Q: What the end price will be?
A: ~$140 for the full set of 5 trackers is the current estimate.
Q: Where do I throw money at?
A: Sorry, preorders will be open when everything is ready and tested, no rush yet! Best estimates - 4 months from now before full release.
Q: Is this gonna be opensource?
A: Yes, everything is going to be opensource! And there will be additional schematics for easier DIY version too.
Q: Can it be used with standalone Oculus?
A: No. It's impossible, the oculus itself doesn't support any full body tracking right now :( you can use SlimeVR with oculus if you connect it to PC and play SteamVR games with it.
