[ Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 ]
Secret Ultimate Boss "Hitoshura ~ Demi-Fiend"
( Part 02 / 06 )

** WILL CONTAIN FULL SPOILERS!! **
** HIGH QUALITY AVAILABLE!! **
** (Add &fmt=18 at end of video url if no HQ link)**

- The final battle all you SMT-fans were waiting for.. LL vs Hitoshura, known as probably the hardest optional boss in RPG history (that does not resort in using absurd cheap attacks or absurd parameter status).

Plus when Hitoshura (SMT: Nocturne Main Character) random battle music is playing, you must realize you are "normal random monsters" in his eyes. Scary...

[ DESCRIPTION INFO SPLIT DUE TO LENGTH!]
Part 1, 3, 5 - Contains Preparation & Tactics Descriptions
Part 2, 4, 6 - Contains LL's Cast & Other Notes Descriptions

[ LL's Cast ]
- Serph -
My pure offensive while defense in a while. Originally I had Power Charge but find while it can take out the demons quickly (speeding up the Gaea Rage process), it doesn't deal enough against Hito without hurting everyone else.

Hence on my latest tactic, I used Mind Charge instead, and won on my first attempt with it.

- Argilla -
Healer, Dekaja and Recarmdra.

Nothing changed for her on all my tactics, except giving her Debilitate (originally had Close Call) to help boost the output of Serph's damage when heal or dekaja isn't needed.

- Gale -
Dekunda, Healer,and Recarmdra.

He is my first safe buffer with Close Call in case Sleep wasn't placed on any of my members.

- Heat & Cielo -
Close Call "safe buffer"

Both are only used to prevent anti-wipe with Close Call (along with Gale). Cielo has higher priority in deploying because of his weakness to ailments. If Cielo gets hit with Sleep, Hito will use Gaea Rage immediately which assures my members' survival.

[ Other Notes ]
- Well, this is my first win against Hito (this video) with my latest tactic I've mentioned above. I probably fought him at least five times before winning my sixth.

- Yes, at the very end (since that was my second time getting him to red) I was a little reckless in trying to kill him. I lost track of Cu Chulainn's Turn amount so I was afraid he would use Recarmdra if I didn't kill Hito ASAP. Plus, I lost all my safe buffers & didn't feel like risking if Sleep will work or not. WIN OR DIE!

- My first time getting Hito to red was on my older strategy (I had Close Call with everyone). BUT the problem was Ragnarok was my source of damage (Last Word without Mind Charge was not powerful enough). Everyone's Close Call was used (I went through 10 Gaea Rage on that battle, insane) and I finally lost due to lack of damage against Hito. Also almost a two hour battle that time too.

- Yes.. luck is still a huge part of this fight.. but NOT as much as you would think if you try my tactics (luck will pretty much be for Gaea Rage... BUT with Close Call buffers and using my tactic, you should take Hito down much quicker before lose all your Gaea Rage buffers (sadly my luck wasn't good with sleep lol).

- I did beat Hito a second time with my same tactic after this one.. but the recording got corrupted (I wouldn't post it anyways since it was my second Hito kill, not my first Hito kill, which is a milestone for me).. and it was about 10 minutes faster too (Cielo was in sleep mode too in almost every Gaea Rage)!

Just wanted to let you know this works if you don't want to resort to Red Star!

I think that's all I can think to say.
Hoped you enjoyed my one hour's worth of nail-biting and nerve-wrecking battle.

Any questions or comments, just post away and I'll answer if I see it!

Now, time to see if I can find DDS2 in stores...
