SMW: Lost in the Forest - Firestorm Fortress Secret Exit TAS
So, I'm still trying to figure out why my episode 14 of Alyssa's Unlikely Trap can only get 10 FPS on YouTube now. And, I've tried reuploading it a few times (none of those have been published), including one where I had VideoPad scale up the resolution to 1024x768, in the hopes of having the "720p60" option available. And, while I can get 720p, all of the options on those uploads remain stuck at 10 FPS for some reason.
MarkVD100 suggested I try uploading a short video at this larger resolution, and I was planning to TAS the secret exit of Firestorm Fortress in this hack just for fun anyway, so I made this video 1024x768. And, I do indeed get 60 FPS with 720p, while getting 30 FPS with the other options. Still don't know what's wrong with my AUT episode 14 that YT won't give me a decent frame rate on.
Anyway, as for the TAS here itself... Normally, you ride a slow-moving platform to the right while dodging bullets and spikes, and then continue riding it under the midpoint platform to reach the secret exit, but that's too slow for a TAS-er armed with a cape. (I thought at first that I'd need a second Cape Feather to get past some spikes partway through, but while actually TAS-ing, I managed to make it through them unharmed. Sweet!)
Feel free to comment, but just know that I dislike profanity. Any comments containing F-bombs and/or S-bombs will become lost in the forest forever! (In other words, they'll be deleted.)
(Comments containing other types of inappropriate content and excessively spammy pointless comments may meet this fate as well.)
