SMW: "The Rescue Mission" - Flooded Forest
Info: Hadn't really realized my last uploaded of this hack was a month ago. Despite not updating for awhile, this hack has still been worked on during the time, as I'm coming close to finishing both Worlds 1 & 2. I still want to release a two World demo of this hack but I'm not going to rush the demo release or anything though. Anyways so I started & finished another level from World 2, leaving me with 2 in a half levels left to finish.
So yeah let's talk about the level some. Usually I'm not too much of a tide level fan nor do I like making these, but I suppose I must at least include one in the hack. (Two in SMW: The After Years.) Part of this was an excuse to use not only the floating spikes but the jumping Fish Generator as well. I hardly ever see the floating spikes being used in any hack, and I think I only recall using them once in SMW: The After Years. I think the floating spikes are pretty neat to use but I guess there isn't really that many situations they can be used. Well anyways, I've been wanting to make this level for awhile but hadn't had a clue on where to take it around the time. I originally wanted make the middle part of the level underwater, but I was uncertain about rather I could make the palettes for that or not. (I didn't want to use the cave BG.) Either way, I'm kind of glad I didn't, as I got to make another FG for BG. (As I like to call it.) This level is a more straight forward compere to my other levels. Being that it has tides and no vertical scrolling, it's really difficult to make it non linear. (Linear isn't a bad thing though.)
Anyways comments and feedback are always appreciated.
