Solaris on Atari 2600 (Rob's Retro Rambles)
19Playing Solaris on Atari 2600 for the very first time.
While playing, I thought it looked very much like Star Raiders, but as that's yet another classic I've never played (just the C64 knock-off Sentinel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Isxj8nyMKmE)) I couldn't really say how well it compares. But what I CAN say is that, according to Wikipedia at least, Doug Neubauer wrote both this and Star Raiders and this is effectively seen as being Star Raiders 2, although it was initially developed to be the official Last Starfighter game. So that certainly explains the similarity ;)
