This is a playthrough of the 8-bit Master System version of Sonic 1.

It plays very differently to the 16-bit version. Naturally the graphics and music aren't as impressive. The controls are kind of "floaty".

There are six zones: Green Hill Zone, Bridge Zone, Jungle Zone, Labyrinth Zone, Scrap Brain Zone & Sky Base Zone

There is a special stage if you finish a stage with over 50 rings, where you can earn a continue and extra lives.

The chaos emeralds are hidden in the normal stages (one in each zone):

Chaos Emerald 1 can be found in Green Hill act2.
Chaos Emerald 2 can be found in Bridge Zone act1
Chaos Emerald 3 can be found inJungle Zone act1
Chaos Emerald 4 can be found in Labyrinth Zone act2
Chaos Emerald 5 can be found Scrap Brain act2.
Chaos Emerald 6 can be found in Sky Base act1.

You need to collect all the chaos emeralds to get the good ending.
