Sonic Adventure 2 (DC) - Meteor Herd M3 speedrun in 0:27.30
5"But Nim, didn't you have the world record in this mission?" Well, sorta. But I have decided to take my time off the leaderboards, because my record of 26.70 and my previous one of 26.95 were done on a 3rd party controller. At the time of playing I did not think this would be an issue, but I later found out that this controller gives me an unfair advantage in other games by allowing more movement in certain angles, making me move faster on some spots. I looked at my 26.70 and I did not find any evidence of this happening in Sonic Adventure 2 as well, so I left it as that. Today however, I decided to go back to that mission and try to improve it with an original Sega controller, and I found myself unable to even get close to that time I achieved before. I took a closer look at my video again and I am now fairly sure that I'm saving tenths here and there that I should not be saving.
So I would be feeling bad about having a most likely illegitimate run as world record on the leaderboards, so I did this run on an original controller so that I can certainly say that my personal best is legitimate.
This run is good, but probably improveable. I might try to beat son1cgu1tar's 26.99 some time in the future. But I beat SadisticMystic and tied Psyknux so that's good for now
