Sonic Unleashed: Holoska Cool Edge Act 1 Daytime Test
So it's obviously been awhile since I've uploaded, but it's also been awhile since I've actually had the time to play any of my consoles period. Life's been more busy as of late, and for other reasons explained below, I stopped recording. When I do come back after such a hiatus, I tend to test my reflexes and muscle memory on stuff I used to love doing. This time I just so happened to be putting it on video. Fastest time on Cool Edge Act 1 after a couple of times refamiliarizing myself with the level. My favorite level in Sonic Unleashed, FYI. Where's Corruption, you may ask? Read on.
I'm going to be honest here, I'm really starting to hate Corruption as much as Other M, and not for reasons that would be entertaining to watch. I don't know if it has to do with how Wii's component input is coded, but every couple of videos I recorded ended up (ironically) corrupted and completely beyond saving. Some stupid thing where the software would recognize the video as being seven hours long and completely loop whenever I click anywhere on it in a timeline.
Going through and trying to start over by re-commentating and redoing what I had already done is starting to become a really broken record by now, and I've about had it with all of the technical crap I've had to go through for what I believe is the weakest game in the Trilogy anyway. I can't escape being chained to this game no matter how many years pass as I do this; life and (more often) technical issues are just sucking my likeness for the game right out the window and I'm really starting to hate it because of how much I've tried. And like I said before, it's not the passionate kind of hate that would be entertaining for all of you to watch, it's just become more of an apathy.
The more I play through this for the camera, the more my commentary has degenerated to generic "here's where this is" kind of crap. It's getting to the point where I just might put the LP to rest once and for all and just say "No, it'll never happen because the time for my most passion and fun to be had for the game has LONG since passed."
I really don't understand. I've never had any of these kinds of coding problems for videos from my PS3, and it's the exact same process for the Wii, just a different cable. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, and that kind of unreliability just sucks for LPing when you have commentary linked to the bad video in question. It was so irritating and so constant that I threw my hands up in the air, said "The hell with it" and just stopped. Whether it was unpopular or not, I was completely burnt out on the fourth time commentating the fight with Rundas..
