CEDIA 2025 marks the first major show where Sony is publicly demonstrating the BRAVIA Projector 7, and it highlights the significant upgrades from the popular VPL-XW5000ES.

The BRAVIA Projector 7 delivers 10% more brightness, but the real story is in the addition of Sony’s flagship XR processor, which introduces XR Dynamic Tone Mapping and XR Deep Black. The result is improved HDR performance with deeper blacks, brighter highlights, enhanced shadow detail, and a more impactful cinematic image.

Sony also gave attendees the opportunity to compare the new model with the XW5000ES, a projector that continues to deliver strong performance at an aggressive price point. With the addition of Sony’s Triluminos engine and advanced processing, the BRAVIA Projector 7 moves closer to the HDR quality expected from high-end home theaters, making it one of the most exciting new products on the CEDIA 2025 show floor.

Whether you’re a longtime Sony owner or shopping for your first premium home theater projector, this recap gives you an inside look at what Sony is bringing to the future of projection.
