Space Angel - The Ghost And Crystal Mace & Dragon Fire - 60s cartoon - Alex Toth
Space Angel is a 60s animated science fiction tv series, using the same Synchro-animated science Synchro-Vox lip technique as Clutch Cargo to super-impose human lips on the drawings to make them talk. The show was created by Dick Darley, who also created the 1950–1955 live-action series Space Patrol. Space Angel was directed by Dick Darley and renowned artist Alex Toth who also supplied the show's outstanding art. The show was broken up into 5-minute episodes, very 5 of which formed one serialized story.
The series chronicled the adventures of three astronauts who worked for the Earth Bureau of Investigation's Interplanetary Space Force on board the spaceship Starduster:
-Captain/Pilot Scott McCloud, also known as "the Space Angel" (voiced by Ned Lefebver)
-Electronics/Communications expert Crystal Mace (voiced by Margaret Kerry),
-Scottish-born Gunner/Engineer Taurus (voiced by Hal Smith).
Presented here are The Ghost And Crystal Mace (eps. 236-240) and Dragon Fire (eps 81-85).
