Space Engineers x Unreal Engine
Hello folks! @defonten just explained me how to export #SpaceEngineers models out of the game as a 3D model, so I thought I'll put one of the ships we made yesterday into #UnrealEngine5. I think it's not bad at all..
The process is pretty simple, for the most parts, ingame in #spaceengineers you look at a blueprint, and press ctrl+alt+e, that will export the model to your desktop as a 3D model with textures. You can then pull all that into Unreal engine, combine the 40 something parts as a blueprint, add lights and effects, and the rest, and you have a SE ship in a lumen rendered UE5 scene. It can be great for cinematic shots of your ships for example. Anything more needs a ton of work.😅 But you can use this to make good looking SE cinematics and trailers..
