CONSIDERING THERE ARE CLOSER TO 8 BILLION PEOPLE IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW. I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO MEET ONE YOUNG WOMAN WHO JUST WENT LAST MONTH.
SARA SABRY is the first Egyptian Astronaut, the first Arab woman in space, and the first woman from the African continent to go to space. Sabry has completed IIAS's Project PoSSUM program to become the first female Egyptian Scientist-Astronaut candidate.
A social impact non-profit, Space for Humanity serves purpose-driven leaders through a sponsored spaceflight experience to create a profound shift in perspective, so that each citizen astronaut returns with a grander perspective to address our most intractable challenges and their solutions.
Sara was selected by Space for Humanity for her leadership experience and potential for global impact among thousands of qualified applicants around the world, and flew to space on Blue Origin’s 6th human spaceflight on August 4th 2022.
