Sphere Study - Session I
I'm left with a feeling of having to draw spheres in rows and columns but before I started I also felt that I needed intentionality in the composition. As I was drawing I hated the god awful shadowing I did under them, I though a lack of shadowing would have made them see more interesting, they are in a position that apear to be resting on top of something, and a lack of shadowing would have made them see as if they are simultaneously floating.
I hated that I started slowly rushing, and at the end there, my upper back felt stiff and I wanted to see the drawing done. I intended for the spheres to have realistic spatial arrangement, but I realized mid drawing that I didn't want to go through the work of doing that because I can't do it reflexively and it would also be better to see my mistake fully displayed, in the end it appears like they are merging into each other in a senseless way [because they are] but I like how it looks, even though I hate the shadowing between them.
