Splatter Master PS2 Full Playthrough (505 games / D3) [1st Ending] Playstation
Heres the full playthrough of the hidden classic platformer on the Sony Ps2 by 505 Games called Splatter Master.
Taking control of a scarecrow with a chainsaw, you set off to avenge the death of the farmer and his wife, and return the land to its rightfull state.
Mission 1 youl see is more of a warm up, and gives us time to figure out the moves. And although the manual states theres "combos", these are pretty much performed by pressing the X button. Using your chainsaw whilst surrounded by enemies brings good results, and seems its the best way to earn cash/coins, which are needed to buy upgrades like health, petrol, and a crazy looking Death Mask.
Mission 2 startsto heat up a little, yet the most difficult part was the boss. It was a bit touch and go wether id survive but pulled through with just 1 heart left, phew.
Mission 3 we enter the jungle, and learn theres "behind the scene" platforms we can reach. Does this have anything to do with the hidden "green gem" were supposed to locate in the game? I still cant find it, but its necessary to get the 2nd ending.
Mission 4 puts us in a kind of wild west setting, and halfway through were presented with some strange deformation that wails like a baby. Very strange indeed.
Mission 5, we enter the north pole, or thats what im calling it anyway. Quite a short level, and the boss is very hard, until you learn the weak spot, and figure out theres a position you can stand in and wont get hit.
Mission 6, our final mission. Not only the hardest, but the most profitable of all, yetthere doesnt seem to be a shop on the level, so seems a bit pointless, unless one is hidden? The boss comes in 2 rounds, and if not fast enough youl have to face bosses from earlier missions too. So the key here is to attack fast. The second boss seems easy to kill on this video, but let me tell you it isnt atall. I fell lucky this time. And will state this is set to easy mode, as on normal im still stuck on the final boss after months of practise!
Well the game finally ends and we get presented with our first ending. But we need to find a hidden green gem somewhere in the game to get the final ending. For the life of me i just cant locate it, if anyone owns this game and knows the location of the gem please leave a comment below.
I really enjoyed this game, and even though its a very short game, it has you coming back for more.
After we find the gem and complete the game again, we apparently unlock survival mode and a couple of other modes that seem to be a secret for now. So the hunt for the green gem continues.
Would i reccomend Splatter Master? ....definately! Its a perfect example of a modernised old skool platformer!
