Spore - Centipeetle Speedbuild (Steven Universe)

Add this to the list of franchises I've been waiting to get to. The Centipeetle appears a few times throughout Steven Universe, serving a different narrative purpose in each instance, making it a surprisingly well developed character with one of the most complete story arcs in the show thus far. Among the many possibilities, this had to be the first one I tried.

Form over function, as usual. Since the entire body is made of limb segments, the game tries to treat the entire thing as a leg, leading to some really awkward movements. When standing still though, I'm very pleased with how it turned out. The most complicated part was just making the gem, everything else was just a matter of recreating it as close as possible. Minor changes like moving the legs in between each body segment do keep it from being exact, but the overall style of Steven Universe lends itself really well to accurate representations in Spore. I'm definitely going to make more creatures based on this show.
