SRB2 Tortured Planet (Ember) | (8) ~ Spacewalk Zone
2Hoo boy, this is the big one.
Another level I really like due to its aesthetic and its calming music, sullied by its absolute length (again, whether or not you see that as a good thing is up to you). In fact, this level is so long that a button was added that allows you to skip the whole zone. Eventually, it was taken out of the rotation entirely until this port added it back in. A good thing though, is that at least it's probably the most gimmick-heavy zone in the pack. Low gravity, reverse gravity, wind tunnels, crushers, lasers that make you invincible, lasers that make you big, and red paths you have to follow in order to not die.
Act 3 has you fighting Metal Sonic, but the very small arena makes it almost impossible to dodge his energy shots in the first phase. Once you get to the second phase though, you can just stand on one of the four platforms off to the sides. Unfortunately, you also have to deal with gravity changing at certain intervals, which only draws out the fight to an annoying degree.
