Star Wars Battlefront 2 - AMD Crossfire test
Okay, this isn't your typical gameplay video. My results is at bottom of the Description. When AMD released their latest driver, it included support for Battlefront 2 and Reddit user u/DrWatSit asked : "Has anyone tried Battlefront 2 with crossfire?" and I decided to test it out the crossfire profile. All my tests were under custom High settings, and DX11 since the developers has to integrate DX12 Multi-Gpu mode via Game Update so, I'll wait for other time.
My specs: Cpu: I7 - 6700K @ 4.2 Ghz
Gpus: Sapphire AMD R9 290x Vapor - X 8GBs @1030Mhz
Ram: 16 GBs of G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series @ 3200 Mhz
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VIII Extreme
Montior: Asus MG279Q, 2560x1440 @144Hz (DisplayPort)
Record: OBS Studio recording 2560x1440p @ 60fps
Just to let you know: Optimize 1x1 profile had Instability, massive stutters, mad flickering and framerate was below 35 fp. Unplayable for now. Now for the rest of the profiles....
1. AFR Compatible starts slowly then becomes stable with steady framerate of 80fps.
2. AFR Friendly (I cut off the beginning due to an audio overlap because I had YT on the background.)Start off stable framerate of 80 fps with minor flickering and stuttering.
3. Default Mode *(Saving the best for last.) Stability with a bit of performance uplift.
Now, I tried playing Online Multiplayer Mode with Default Mode turned on and I got a moderate amount of stuttering and a lot of performance uplift like (95 - 160 Fps) everywhere no matter what map. I sure hope for some optimization on crossfire soon on their patches. Later.
