Dark Forces is a 1995 shooter created by LucasArts for PC and Playstation. It runs on the "Jedi Engine" which allowed for some room-over-room, bridges, and 3d models for some props. It tells the story of the ex-Imperial agent Kyle Katarn, after defecting to work for the Rebel Alliance, stealing the plans of the Death Star and other looming menaces.
I love Dark Forces: you kill lots of imperials, has powerful weapons, the movement is floaty but nice, levels are cleverly designed with some nice puzzles, music is dynamic thanks to the iMuse system, and has the usual LucasArts nice cutscenes to spice up the story. This playthrough uses the new source port The Force Engine, the true successor of the XLEngine, recreating the original experience with great accuracy. As of now it only supports software rendering, so if you are watching this in the future, it probably is better now than the depiction shown in this video.

Me encanta Dark Forces: matas muchos imperiales, armas poderosas, el movimiento tiene poca gravedad pero se siente bien, los niveles están inteligentemente diseñados, la música es dinámica gracias a iMuse, y tiene las habituales escenas de vídeo de LucasArts para aderezar la historia. Este Playthrough usa el nuevo port The Force Engine, el verdadero sucesor de XLEngine, que recrea el juego original con certeza. Por ahora solamente soporta renderizado por software, así que si estás viendo esto en el futuro, segura haya mejorado respecto a lo mostrado en este vídeo.
