STARDROP - Cryostasis reloading bug (4K) (no spoilers)

Encountered this bug in STARDROP after entering the cryostasis area. The last save game station point, just before taking the elevator to enter the area, seems to be either corrupt when reloading (continue option) or somehow by design you are not allowed to backtrack (reload to the previous area) and thus left in the void (literally) **.

The only solution I could find, was to restart from the beginning of Chapter 4, thus losing 1-2 hours of progress. More disappointing, than infuriating, as STARDROP has been solid and bug free upto to this point.
