Start of a New Trashlocke
5What is a Trashlocke? It's a rom hack series by Pokemon Challenges, self-proclaimed Best Nuzlocker in the World. The two existing hacks, Emerald and Black, as well as a third for LeafGreen that's currently in development, aim to increase the difficulty of their respective games not by making any enemy trainers harder but by limiting the player's options and forcing them to use sub-optimal Pokemon to win the game.
For this hack, as well as for many of my nuzlockes, I use a variation of the standard Hardcore ruleset. Only one Pokemon per route (including gifts such as the starter), no items in battle, level caps that fit the next gym leader, item clause (no two Pokemon should have the same held item for a battle), fainting=death...and that's it, basically. Oh, also, because my "DS" is a bit slow, I decided that I would be allowed to use a program called PkHex to level up my Pokemon and EV train them for this playthrough.
