Static Site Generation with Aleph.js and Deno
Discussion about using Aleph.js and Deno for static microsites within the TAS/Speedrunning communities and the steps and challenges I went through getting set up for it on Windows. Aleph.js is a Next.js replacement in the Deno JS runtime which is written in Rust instead of Node's C++. Both Aleph and Next allow you to quickly spin up a static site and reuse the same codebase to expand to Server Side Rendering if needed.
By switching to Deno from Node, Aleph gains several functions including first class treatment of Typescript, ES6 modules, and Hot Module Reloading that aren't available with your basic Node/Next site.
