The statue of 'Apollo Citharoedus', which is estimated to have been made in the 2nd century, was found during the ongoing excavations in the ancient city of Düzce.
The statue of "Apollo Citharoedus", estimated to have been made in the 2nd century, was found during the excavations in the "Prusias Ad Hypium Ancient City" in Konuralp District.
The statue, which is approximately 1 meter 90 centimeters tall and 60 centimeters wide, is depicted naked from the waist down and has a crown of laurel leaves on its head.
On the other hand, a statue of a woman was also unearthed during the excavations.
It is estimated that the statue of a woman carved on the pedestal belongs to the same century.
It was reported that the Istanbul Archeology Museum was contacted to improve the sculptures.
