Steam Deck: EA App (Part 2) - Create Individual Game Launchers in Steam
A NEW UPDATE HAS CAUSED THE NON-STEAM GAMES "TARGET" and "START IN" TO FAIL TO ADD QUOTES AROUND THEM. ADD A DOUBLE QUOTE TO THE START AND END OF EACH LINE - See this video: https://youtu.be/j5flKpTP-tg
After my last video, it was requested to show how to launch games from their own, dedicated launcher entry in Steam while using EA App's client as a non-Steam game.
In this video, we'll use some advanced techniques to reuse the EA App client to launch games that have their own "profiles" in Steam - allowing you to set up system settings, controls, etc. on a per game basis; all while retaining cloud saves and updates.
Note: This video assumes you watched the previous video and have set up EA App in that manner - as well as have installed the game external from the proton prefix.
It is probably a good idea to watch this video on a large screen and have a mouse and keyboard handy as it will make this a lot easier.
