Mad Head Games released the first part of its episodic detective series, The Ancient Flame, on October 7, 2016, under the series named for its main character, Adam Wolfe. There are 4 episodes to the series in total.
As a point-and-click, controls are mouse-driven. Icons such as a magnifying glass, a suddenly highlighted part of the HUD, or a capitalized word on a specific scene help direct what, where, and when to click. While there are many puzzles needing solving, a strong plot and excellent voice acting make this more than a simple P&C experience.
There are supernatural forces out there. Some are nice, are good. Some, . . . not so much. There are detectives and investigators of normal events and crimes; it follows that there ought to be investigators of supernatural things too. Let's play Adam Wolfe and meet just such an investigator.
