I've been meaning to test the concept that the Chromecast is always in "protected" output mode regardless of whether the content is protected or not.

The Oculus Quest streams gameplay to the Chromecast just fine - but can we record it with a PC capture card without stripping out the always-on protection first?

The purpose of this video is to show you how to get around the restrictions on a Chromecast for the legal viewing of your Quest stream and is not intended to foster any nefarious activities.
