This will show you the basics of streaming to youtube, twitch, or restream using OBS.

Resolution basics : 720p in OBS is 1280x720, 1080p is 1920x1080, 1440p is 2560x1440, 4k is 3840x2160

Video Bitrate Limits and Stream delay:
720p : Twitch - 4500 Kbps Youtube- 4000 Kbps (3-5s stream delay)
1080p : Twitch - 6000 Kbps Youtube - 6000 Kbps (3-5s stream delay)
Twitch Does not support anything above 1080p, or 6000 Kbps
1440p : Youtube- 13000 Kbps (10-18s stream delay)
4k : Youtube- 30000 Kbps (30-45s stream delay)
