Hello everyone!
If you have been following me from the beginning, you may have noticed that, before uploading Touhou videos, I recorded a couple of Suikoden II bosses using only Riou.
Yesterday, I wanted to play the game again, so I decided to make a solo video for each and every boss there's in the whole game!
By "solo run" I mean battling the boss using only Riou, the main character. If I have others characters in party, for story purposes or simply because I didn't want to remove them before the dungeon, I'll start the battle with them at 1 hp, to get them killed instantly, and choose only "Defend" with them.
This time I'm against the first boss you'll encounter in the game! If you have played Suikoden II, you'll surely remember it: the Mist Shade, at the end of North Sparrow Pass.
S/he is quite powerful for a first boss, s/he may be able to deal more than 60 damage every turn, so a Clay Guardian scroll is essential to survive. If you use it, as you can see in the video, he will do less than 10 damage while in male form, and less than 20 while in female form.
It is probably possible to kill him/her by just attacking, but it's much faster to spam every magic scroll you have. I used only Flaming Arrows to save the others, but you can kill him/her even faster by using Fire Wall and Angry Blow.
