Sonya Shulen, the last of the Five Great Generals, was soundly defeated by the Liberation Army at the Floating Fortress of Shazarazade. Unfortunately, Mathiu, who had previously warned Tir, was unexpectedly betrayed by none other than Sanchez, the very spy who remained loyal to Emperor Barbarossa. Despite Sanchez's treachery, Mathiu stops Flik from executing him. Upon their return to Toran Castle, Sonya agrees to join the Liberation Army. Tir must now return to his homeland and fulfill Odessa's dream.
