Poem 3
Nostalgia is strong.
Almost as strong as a first language.
Beat of the drum, habitual cadence,
Charmed in, impressionable impatience.
Fond memories, safe spaces.
Heater sitting, playing the SNES,
Trampolines, rollerblades, imaginary army bases,
Strangely normal, more or less.
Time slows back,
Along the worn track,
Drinking sunrays, eating snow,
How fast yet slow the time flows.
