Super Mario 3D World - Rosalina (Itemless) | World 8-1 Update (21st April 2020)
This video contains a new method to get Green Star 2 in World 8 - 1.
When I made the "Project Basis" video, near the end of April, I briefly outlined the concept of the "Difficulty Levels" that I created. To create that spreedsheet of the difficulty levels for each Green Star, I had to go back through a couple levels, to get a better idea of what they are.
I already showed footage of getting Green Star 2 in 2019, but the method I used was landing on the Fire Bro's head in order to gain extra height. Here, I tested the spinning-jump technique, which was also able to give me enough height to reach the platform. Honestly, looking at the fact you have to do that to get into the Mystery Box, and THEN do two wall-kick combos with limited time, I'm tempted to rate that Green Star "Very Hard," but the whole difficulty level thing is still in "beta." What I will do in the future is make a video that gives more definitive conditions for each difficulty level. But for now, I'll just outline the strategies used for each collectable in this stage.
