17"Darkness Tightens its Grip"
World 5 is where getting our power-ups starts to become a workout of sorts. After all, there's not a lot of ground to work with in some of these stages, and there are a couple of times where you'll either have to do a series of tricky hops or haul a potion a fair distance just to get to a Mushroom. I don't know what to think about this place other than it feels like there are a lot of single-block jumps to make, and many of those single blocks are really enemies. Yikes!
We get to face another unique boss in Clawgrip this time around, and I find his fight to be fun as it feels like he's trying to play a game of Subcon bowling with you. Can you pick those rocks up in time before they or you go down the gutter? His tosses are some of the fastest attacks in this game, and they can easily cause you to mess up if you aren't hanging back. So while it is fun overall, it remains one of the more challenging boss battles in the entire game.
Oh, and this is the video where I also get smarter about editing out some of the slot game. We really don't need to see that many chances go to waste, right? Right.
