This video actually contains a few tricks.

The 1st one is the trick I call Shyguys going to Heaven, seen at 00:05 & 00:19. To do this, pick up an enemy and jump & stand on another enemy as it approaches a wall. Throw the enemy towards the wall & immediately pick up the enemy you are standing on. As the enemy you threw bounces off the wall, throw the enemy you were standing on & just picked up at it before it hits the ground. Both enemies will fly in the air.

The 2nd one is the "Beating Birdo with Invincibility" trick, seen at 02:53. This can only be done in World 1-2 to my knowledge. Pick up 5 cherries in the area before the door the leads to Birdo. Wait for Starman to be as far ahead as possible and then get him. As soon as you become invincible, start running towards the door. This is best done using Toad while holding an enemy in his hands (before getting Starman) and then running (and releasing the enemy just before the door to Birdo). Any character could do it, but Toad with an enemy in his hands is the quickest. Just run into Birdo & as soon as you touch him, he will die. One time, I was able to jump over him & run into him from the other side and make the crystal ball bounce towards the left door on the Birdo screen (too bad this happened when I wasn't recording).
