This house can be somewhat tricky. If you're not quick enough in the second area, you'll get eaten by ghosts. Happened to me a few times when I was trying to get the Yoshi coins.
The "secret" goal here is rather pointless. It's only a screen length or so away from the other exit and all it does is "unlock" the path back to the previous level. At least you get a 3-up moon.
