I'd've made this a video response to nathanisbored's recent "Let's Glitch Super Mario World" video:

But, since Google's dumb, I'm incapable of doing that.

Well, this was kind of a waste of time, but I decided to upload this anyway, just to show the effort I put into this. (This is all tool-assisted, by the way.)

I decided to look at all of the levels in SMW to see if there were any besides Funky that had that glitch involving note blocks and coins that were exactly 16 screens away from each other, and I didn't find any, except for perhaps Cookie Mountain, involving the airborne coin just to the right of the first Yoshi coin (near where the shell is). And, there were note blocks in the level that I could clone to potentally get one to be exactly 16 screens away from that coin (and one space below that spot, because the coin needs to be one space above the note block as well as exactly 16 screens away horizontally).

However, this took an insane amount of block cloning, and I had to overlap a different Yoshi coin along the way in order to get keys to appear to make the block cloning over pits easier, and not only that, but I had to eventually spawn enough keys to keep the goal tape from spawning, because the spot where I needed a note block to be was just behind the goal posts, and I couldn't block clone through the goal while the goal tape was there.

Using the shell, the keys I glitched into existence, and Yoshi for the avoid time up death glitch (because 300 seconds wasn't nearly enough), I eventually managed to get a note block where I needed it just to the right of the goal posts, but no coin glitch occurred when I jumped on it (if it did occur, I would've gotten a coin, and an invisible solid block would've appeared above the note block in question). You can see me jumping on and repeatedly hitting the last note block that I make appear just to the right of the goal posts. And I double-checked, and it's in the right spot in relation to that coin 16 screens earlier, but no glitch occurred. I'm guessing that the glitch only happens if the coin is 16 screens to the right (and one space above) the note block in question, so it won't work in this direction. Nuts!

After bouncing off the note block at the end for several seconds, I decide to go back, throw away the cloned keys to allow the goal tape to spawn, and finish the level.

UPDATE: Well, maybe this wasn't so pointless. Apparently, there are some variations in the conditions for the glitch to work, and Bruno Visnadi was able to get this glitch to work with the first three coins of Cookie Mountain!

(And I did verify this myself. If you don't collect the first three coins in Cookie Mountain, putting note blocks where Bruno Visnadi did and then jumping on them will produce coins and invisible solid blocks!)

Feel free to comment, but just know that I dislike profanity. Any comments containing F-bombs and/or S-bombs will be smothered with cloned note blocks! (In other words, they'll be deleted.)
(Comments containing other types of inappropriate content may meet this fate as well.)
