At first glance this seemed more like a caravan shooter, with set timelimits for each stage. But no! There is time to be saved, specifically on the end bosses. The faster you kill them, the sooner it ends. Getting to the final boss with all 3 bombs in Expert mode is going to be necessary for fastest times.
