Released for the Sonic Mania Plus DLC as an added game mode that allows swapping between the main characters and all levels have a color palette swap with different enemy and item placements and emerald stage rings are in different areas too and the emerald stages are much harder than the originals
Also has a different boss fight at the end of the Metal Sonic fight and the good ending was kind of disappointing compared to the original ending -
