TAS Bean CRUSHES my World Record Speedrun!
0This is a TAS of 'The Sims 4 - Lifetime Wish', in which I currently hold the world record of 22.10s. TAS Bean's current best time is shown here and stands at 18.70s (retimed), over 3 whole seconds faster. There are many instances where this TAS can be improved as well, showing that there is much more time to be saved in this speedrun.

For those who missed my previous TAS video, allow me to briefly explain what's going on here:
A TAS (or Tool-Assisted Speedrun) is a speedrun performed by a computer and is essentially a series of inputs which are played back, in-sequence, and fed into the game. Typically, modern, Windows-based games are very difficult to TAS, due to the limited existence of the necessary tools required. The application which I am currently developing, TAS Bean, will enable a user to programmatically TAS any Windows-based game (in theory).
Currently, TAS Bean only has very limited capabilities and must be manually programmed in C# to accommodate new games and perform new TAS's. I am hoping to be able to introduce a standard 'plugin' of sorts which will replace this necessity at some point in the future. Until then I will continue to expand TAS Bean's range and produce more showcases like this one.
