Temtem Walkthrough Episode 55: Tyranak Awaits in Anak's Mythic Lair!
And here we are, wrapping up the Cipanku update with a with a run at the mythic lair and Tyranak, the first mythic temtem! I fully expected to have to try this a couple of times at least so I could understand it (and get lucky on the RNG) and have a successful run, but I got there on the first try and it was awesome! Building up a team as I went was a ton of fun, and trying to decide what option to take when I was presented with a couple ways forward felt really meaningful and added a lot more to the experience than I expected (even though I did take the jewel option less often than I should have, but at least I won't make that mistake in the future :P). This was a really awesome way to wrap up Cipanku, and I can't wait to see what awaits us in a few months in Arbury!
Updating in the post-Arbury times (and yes, this is getting copied and pasted on both lair videos so you might see it again :P): The difficulty of the lairs has been increased a decent amount since I recorded this, so what you're seeing here isn't fully representative of what you'll run into. The overall stuff is the same for the most part, all the nodes you see for chests, battles, and whatnot are the same. The only changes I'm aware of are that the battles are harder and early revives only cost 2 jewels instead of 4, so they're less punishing if you have a rough start.
Some quick advice:
1) Take bonuses early if you can, they make things a lot easier and can make otherwise bad tems really strong
2) Taking a random tem from a battle is only neccessary if you need it for the next couple nodes, like if you're current team is hurting and you have to do another battle before the next heal node or if you only have two tems and you're about to have to battle a two- or three-orb opponent. This is especially true early because the level 84 tems you get early will likely feel really weak against later opponents. You don't need a full team to beat the boss
3) Always check your map to see what's coming up before making a decision about what to do. When the "choose your reward!" thing pops up after a battle, you can open your map before deciding what option to take
4) At shops, the vital durian are the best value for the cost for restorative items, and buying one full revive isn't a bad idea
5) If you've been struggling with your team, it is absolutely okay to wait a bit while others advance and unlock new random bonuses. You never know when they'll get bonuses that can make your next battle a breeze
Here's a guide I used to help me get an idea of what moves to use on different tems (and sometimes still use if I'm really stuck). Don't get caught up in the tier list, random bonuses can absolutely see you through with any combination of tems, and remember that the guide I'm linking is getting updated as things come out but that takes time (even old movesets are a solid starting point, though):
